Removal of superficial blood vessels and vascular changes
Treatment
Removal of vascular changes
- Dilated hair vessels
- Telangiectasias
- Angiomas
- Rosacea
The laser device emits high-energy light flashes, which cause blood to clot in the vein and eventually the body absorbs the vein. Blood circulation is then directed to deeper veins in the skin. Surface blood vessel laser treatment can remove unsightly veins from the body and dilated hair veins from the face. However, the method is not suitable for treating varicose veins.
Before treatment
Before treatment, self tanning products should not be used within two weeks, and treatment is not administered on tanned skin. The procedure is not recommended for patients with a pacemaker or defibrillator, nor during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Treatment method
After laser treatment for skin vascular changes, the skin may be slightly red or bruised.
You can resume normal activities after treatment, but:
- Makeup can be used on the day of treatment.
- Avoid sauna for two days; heat and sweating may cause tingling on the skin.
- Do not exfoliate the treated area for two days; the skin is a bit more sensitive during this time.
- For the first week, use mild soap or cleansing emulsion for skin cleansing.
- Protect the treated area from the sun with a high SPF sunscreen for at least two weeks. Results from the removal of surface blood vessels are immediate!
